So on the third anniversary of the disaster, we asked print publications to donate just one column inch to remember the 72 people who died during the fire. Their names created a powerful typographic reminder that justice has still not been served. Several Sunday newspapers gave us editorial space which led to influencers and media companies also donating their platforms to get Grenfell back in public discourse. As a brand famous for selfies, our solution was to give their audience the chance to get their face in space using the Samsung Galaxy S10. SpaceSelfie was a huge technical project involving above the line assets, a launch event, influencer content, a complex web-build, a global social campaign and of course actually putting a phone in space. The problem was, young people are deeply sceptical about government messages and find celebrity and influencer campaigns not relevant to their lives. To sidestep this we created #knifefree, and told real stories celebrating young people who had struggled with knife-carrying but had chosen to live knife-free. The platform was&nbsp; so successful it’s now entering it’s fifth phase, and we’ve spread the #knifefree message through film, OOH, social and even trained word-of-mouth advocates.
